It is with
mixed emotions that I am announcing a change in the accounting department.
Effective May 15th Bill will be no longer be working for iTi Tropicals. This
week, Thursday February 18th Brian Nugent will be taking over the position as
full time controller. iTi has continued its growth and it has become necessary
to have a full time person in the position of controller.
This change
is not without difficulty as Bill has implemented many good things for iTi and
was starting to be make a real impact within the company. It is to Bill’s
credit that I immediately felt comfortable handing over financial and
organizational responsibilities I had carried out from the day I started in
1988. As you can imagine this could have been really hard for me to let go of.
Bill did such a good job that it quickly became apparent that we needed a full
time controller. Bill and I discussed this possibility when we first started
our arrangement but it became necessary sooner than we both anticipated. Bill
is not able to work for iTi full time as he has other obligations and could
only give us a set amount of hours. We are separating on the best of terms and
Bill will remain on board until March 15 to hand over all his work to Brian and
ease the transition.
Brian Nugent
has 20+ years of professional experience in accounting , financial analysis, HR
and IT. From 2005 to present he has worked for Bristol- Meyers Squibb. I am
extremely pleased Brian has accepted the job as Controller and in this capacity
will be responsible for Accounting, Financial Analysis, IT and Human Resources.
I am of
course disappointed to see Bill leave but it is positive news as it is another
step forward for ITI. This change is in line with the strategy we are taking
towards strengthening iTi on all levels. We have also established sales
territories and are looking for an outside salesperson located in the West or
Midwest to work those territories.

to thank Bill for all his hard work and the many contributions he has made to
iTi. We wish him and his family only the best!
